About

My History

I first became interested in bioinformatics as a result of becoming interested in longevity and age related diseases.

Unfortunately the salary range seems to be quite a bit lower than general software engineering, so it wouldn't make much financial sense to go to school for another 2-8 years to end up with a lower salary. Therefore I currently have no short term plans to get into bioinformatics (for work), but that's still a crucial part of the long term plan. I would love to contribute to some open source libraries, especially if they are written in C++, as that is planned to be mein neue muttersprache programmische 😝

My Favorite Resources

Biostar Handbook: An amazing resource for anyone without a life sciences or computer science background. This is bsolutely where you should start if you want to get into bioinformatics.
