Progress Tracking
Goal Setting / Work Dilemma
Which is better:
- to set a goal? I.e. you have 300 of something to do so if you do 10 a day you know you will have it done in a month
- or just work your a$$ off until it is finished
Does the accountability of goal setting outweigh the benefits of doing "work marathons"? Of course you can always do both!
I prefer to track my progress, this way I can export my progress and visualize it with Tableau. Seeing the progress as a chart can be motivating... up and to the left!
Currently I have 1000 notes to sort through in Evernote, these notes have been tagged, but there are still several steps left.
- Decide which portfolio "bucket" to place them in
- For notes that are "incomplete" i need to finish them and transfer to "hasBeenPublished"
Here's a chart of my progress: | Date | Notes Remaining (Tagged) | | 20240121 | 886 | | 20240122 | |
